The Power of Thanks

Thank you. Those are two small words that are often said but might lose their meaning over time. I took some time today to write (yes, handwritten) thank-you cards to people who I have lost contact with that have made an impact on my life. I find it is the little gestures that mean the most. It never hurts to remind the people who have supported you in one way or another that you’re grateful for what they taught you. After all, it might just put a smile on their face :).

This week I challenge you to do the same. Think of someone you want to thank for any reason at all whether it be a co-worker, previous employer, teacher, etc. You don’t have to hand write them a letter, but just let them know the kind of lasting impact they had on you. Your 10 minutes of time could go a long, long way.

And you get to buy fun cards from Target.
