Island of Adventure

Dinner in the oven, drink in my new harry potter glass, and Hawaii Five-0 on the TV…time to recap my trip!

My mini vacation came and went far too quickly, but I had the time of my life. Special thanks to Bill, Zach, & Mary Beth for their hospitality the past few days!

I got in late Sunday night, but when I got there the weather was amazing. It was almost midnight and it was still 68 degrees. What? I was in heaven. Bill lives in a super cute apartment and has valet garbage. Seriously, how cool is that? There is a bench-looking thing outside their apartment door where they put the garbage in and it gets picked up frequently throughout the week. How can I sign up for that shiz? Also, Mary Beth is a human/dog stuck in a cats body. She’s awesome.

Monday morning Bill and I had Chick-Fil-A breakfast. Who knew they had breakfast food? Not me. But we had chicken on a biscuit and it hit the spot. I knew right then that it was going to be a good day.

We spent the day between Island of Adventure and Universal Studios. The Harry Potter section is located in Island of Adventure and that’s where we spent a lot of our time, I took most of the pictures, and spent all my money. I’ll recap Island of Adventure today, Universal Studios later this week, and the whole Harry Potter section last!

I had no idea what to expect going into Island of Adventure, except that it was already 75 and sunny and I really needed to adjust to the sun.

There are SO MANY cool rides at the Island of Adventure. We hit up Spiderman first, which was a 3D motion-simulated ride. Ill call it the 2nd coolest ride I went on Monday. We hit up a few other rides, including the Hulk and one name I can’t remember (but it worked like the opposite of the Giant Drop at 6 flags – it shot you straight up!). Walking around was so nice – everything was so themed and animated with characters walking around. Perfect way to start the morning :).

Here are a few pictures from the morning before we made our way to Harry Potter…!!!
